The Society is thrilled to announce the third annual Wigwam, our annual summer social and business gathering. This year’s event will be held on the campus of the University of South Carolina on the evening of Friday, 18 July, in the South Caroliniana Library.
As we look back over three decades of the Society, we will be treated to a presentation of the various Simms manuscript materials in the Caroliniana’s collection and a roundtable discussion of the possibilities these materials provide for future Simms scholarship. Our annual business meeting will follow the presentation and discussion. After the business meeting, we will share a meal on the historic Horseshoe at the McCutcheon House restaurant.
We encourage all members to join us at this event—it has been a highlight of my summer the past two years! Members should feel free to bring guests. Registration is $40 per person and includes the meal.
